Healthy Hummus Recipe
This recipe for Healthy Hummus is a tasty and nourishing dip thats ideal as an appetiser at a party or for snacking. Its made with basic ingredients and high in fiber, protein, and good fats.
Ingredients:
- 1 15oz can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 3 tablespoons tahini
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons water adjust for desired consistency
- Paprika and fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Put chickpeas, tahini, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, and cumin in a food processor and blend them together
Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed to make the mixture smooth
To make hummus the way you like it, add salt and pepper to taste and blend as you slowly add water until you get the right consistency
Spread the hummus out in a bowl, drizzle it with olive oil, and top it off with paprika and fresh parsley
As a healthy snack, you can eat it as a dip with fresh vegetables or sandwich bread
