Honey Mascarpone Tart with Figs and Salty Graham Cracker Crust - Wood and Spoon

On top of a salty graham cracker crust, mascarpone cheese, honey, and fresh figs make a rich pie. This tart is the perfect mix of sweet and savory, making it a classy dessert for any event.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • Fresh figs, sliced, for topping
  • Honey, for drizzling

Instructions:

Set the oven to 350F 175C and heat it up

Put graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and salt in a bowl and mix them together

Add melted butter and mix until the mixture looks like wet sand

Fill a 9-inch tart pan with the dough and press it into the bottom and up the sides

For 10 to 12 minutes, or until just barely golden, bake the crust

Let it cool all the way down

Get a different bowl and beat the mascarpone cheese until it is smooth

Heavy cream should be whipped in a different bowl until stiff peaks form

Fold whipped cream into mascarpone slowly

Mix honey, vanilla extract, and salt into the mascarpone

Mix everything together well

Cover the crust with the mascarpone mixture

Slice the figs and put them on top of the mascarpone filling

For decoration, drizzle with more honey

Put the tart in the fridge for at least an hour before you serve it
