Pad Thai Chicken Burgers
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped peanuts
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1/4 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp lime zest
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce leaves for garnish
- Sliced cucumber for garnish
Instructions:
Ground chicken, breadcrumbs, chopped peanuts, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onions, and cilantro should all be put in a large bowl together
Put Thai sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, lime zest, and red pepper flakes in a different bowl and mix them together
Mix the sauce mixture well with the chicken mixture after adding it
Split the mixture in half and shape each half into a burger patty
When the grill or pan is hot, add the chicken patties and cook for 5 to 6 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked
You can grill or toast the burger buns until they are just barely browned
Put a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun of each burger, then a chicken patty, sliced cucumber, and extra cilantro, if you want
Place the other half of the bun on top and serve right away
