Gluten-Free Chocolate Chai Bundt Cake

This gluten-free bundt cake has the rich flavors of chocolate and chai. Its great for any event because its made with healthy foods and warm spices.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon chai spice blend
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup brewed chai tea, cooled
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips, optional

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350F 175C

Grease and flour a bundt cake pan

In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten-free all-purpose flour, almond flour, cocoa powder, chai spice blend, baking powder, baking soda, and salt

In another bowl, mix together the applesauce, maple syrup, brewed chai tea, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until well combined

Fold in the chocolate chips, if using

Pour the batter into the prepared bundt cake pan and spread it out evenly

Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean

Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely

Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with a glaze, if desired, before serving
